ON
THE ORGANIC RELATION BETWEEN FINITE AND INFINITE
ABSTRACT
In "Bruno"
(Schelling) there is the passage of the unity of Beauty and Truth, sensed
as one and the same idea, that of the Eternal- in this idea as of the works
(Art) that approach it, Truth and Beauty are One - the unity of thinking
and of sensing, which is the unity of the Ideal fundamental and of the Real
fundamental correlative to the unity of the opposition and of the unity
of the Finite and of the Infinite in the Absolute.
In the formula revealing the unity of the Finite and the Infinite in the
Absolute - "... in relation to absolute unity, which in conceiving
the finite, also conceives the infinite, not unified, but unseparated..."
(Bruno) - there stands out the infinite and timeless subsistence of the
Finite Infinite (Infinite that is infinitely and eternally finite), that
is never dissolved in the infinite, but that requires, for its perfection,
inseparability from the infinite.
The relation between the Finite and the Infinite - not unified, but unseparated
- in the Absolute is a relation of harmony, this being understood in its
original meaning of connection of diverse elements.
The harmonious relation of the Finite with the Infinite in the bosom of
the Absolute allows the recognition of an organicity that is the fundamental
of Universal Organicity.
There is in Universal Organicity something which permits its approximation
to Art, this being an expression of the Absolute.
KEYWORDS: Bruno (Schelling); Finite-Infinite Unity in the Absolute; Non Unification and Inseparability; Harmonious Relation; Universal Organicity and Expression of the Absolute.
