THE PHILOSOPHY OF WILLIAM JAMES AND MODERN NEUROLOGY

ABSTRACT
William James (1842-1910) was one of the classical philosophers of the Pragmatism. His writings were about many subjects, but, until today, the most quoted aspect of his work was concerning human cognition and behavior. Through this point of view, James conceived human consciousness as a continuous and interactive process. For this reason, James philosophy is a constant reference to modern neurology, and to understand James Philosophy is also to understand modern neurology.
