II Congreso de la Sociedad Latinoamericana Peirce – September 20 to 24, 2021

ABOUT

The II Congress of the Peirce Latin American Society will be held from September 20 to 24, 2021 at the University of Caldas, with the aim of promoting exchange among Latin American researchers around all areas of the thought of Charles S. Peirce (1839-1914). Among those invited to the congress will be the presence of researchers of the highest trajectory: Fernando Zalamea (Colombia), Ivo Ibri (Brazil), Lucia Santaella (Brazil), Catalina Hynes (Argentina), and Gregory Pappas (USA - Puerto Rico). In order to consolidate and expand the community of researchers, we hope to have the participation of professors and researchers from all Latin American countries and with the participation of master's and doctoral students who are developing their theses and dissertations on Peirce.

ANNOUNCEMENT

We have an open call for two types of papers:

1. Lecture on any topic related to the work of Charles S. Peirce.

2. Research progress of master's and doctorate projects on Peirce. The purpose of this activity is to present the design of the complete project or the progress of one of the chapters or sections of the investigation. The students are expected to receive feedback from all the researchers participating in the event and that the researchers learn about the recent research that is being carried out.

Both types of calls will have a maximum time of 30 minutes for the presentation and 10 minutes for questions and comments. Only one proposal per person is accepted. To participate should e S end a summary of the paper or research progress 500 words in Spanish, English or Portuguese. The deadline will be until June 1, 2021. To participate, you must fill out the form and copy the summary in the last box.
